Ruins of the Hedley Dam1183 viewsRuins of the power dam at Hedley. Built in 1914-1915, this dam supported a powerhouse with twin turbines to power the Hedley Gold Mining Company's extraction facilities. Badly damaged in the winter of 1935, the dam was abandoned in favour of the more reliable West Kootenay power lines that now ran through the valley.
